Team BTC Men’s 2 Football take Three Points in Outstanding Performance - Bridgwater & Taunton College

Team BTC started well in their match against Strode College with the share of possession and looked dangerous going forward.

Leo James had lots of success wide on the right, creating several chances, but Team BTC could not find the back of the net. At 25 minutes into the first half, Leo James played a great through ball which was perfectly placed into the bottom left from the edge of the box.

The game restarted and Strode looked dangerous, countering quickly after winning the ball in their half and levelled the score line. Team BTC fought hard for another goal, and, at the end of the first half, Noah Brown hit the ball on the volley over the keeper and into the goal. The score was 2-1 at half time.

Both teams started the second half strong, with Strode College wanting to level the scores and BTC looking to extend their lead.

Ten minutes towards the end, centre back Ben Jackson played the ball to Jude Harris, who took on two of Strode’s midfield players and scored from 30 yards out.

The final goal came from Josh McMillan, who received the ball on the right and placed it in the bottom left.
