The second half started again where Team BTC continued to control the game well, maintaining possession and creating good opportunities going forward. Fiona Barry then scored again for the hattrick and Team BTC managed the game well to see it out to the final whistle to continue their unbeaten league streak.

Men’s 1 Football

Team BTC 2 – 0 Exeter

With our visitors undefeated in the league this season, we looked forward to a good competitive match. Both sides didn’t disappoint as each team gave no quarter in a pulsating 90 minutes. Opportunities fell to both sides throughout the first half, with both keepers required on several occasions. The deadlock was eventually broken by Team BTC skipper Sully McKenna who made a mazy run that eluded three players before calmly finishing across the keeper 1-0.

In the second period our visitors showed some excellent moments, but again Toby Warner was equal to each effort. Then a period of play where Fin Koppa almost got a second for Team BTC before a ten minute period where both sides had penalties, but both were saved. As time wore on Exeter searched for the equaliser but got caught on the counter. Fin Koppa setting up the hardworking Freddie Haden whose run perfectly complimented the move 2-0 to finish the game.

Men’s 2 Football

Team BTC 0 – 3 St Brendan’s

Men’s 2 fell to defeat to a well organised St Brendan’s side. Despite creating numerous chances, but couldn’t find the back of the net. St Brendans scored against the run of play to take the lead, when on another day BTC could have been a few goals up. In the 2nd half some tired legs from BTC and St Brendans took advantage of this and extended their lead.
