You will be invited to an interview following your application. This is an opportunity for you to receive more information and ensure you are considering the right course for your future.
Your application form will have given us some background information about you, but your interview gives you an opportunity to talk in more detail and depth about your interests and ambitions. You will also be able to find out more about the College and the course/s in which you are interested.
Getting to know you better during the interview means that we are able to make sure you’re offered a place on the right course for you.
Your interview is an informal chat with a tutor about your successes at school, predicted grades, your aspirations and future plans. Due to Covid, this will take place over the phone so please think about where your environment and if you would like someone with you for support.
If you have applied for more than one course or have a learning need, you will have an opportunity to be interviewed for the alternative/additional course and speak to a member of our Learning Support team.
One or more of the following, if you have them:
Please note: If you don’t any of these with you, please be prepared to talk about them at interview
Your offer of a place will be subject to you achieving or holding the required entry qualifications listed in the prospectus and in your offer email, which we will send within ten working days of your interview.
After you have been offered a place, we will expect you to continue to work hard, and attend school regularly and punctually.
Please note: If you haven’t had your individual interview with your careers adviser, don’t worry. It won’t affect the outcome of your interview at College. If you supply us with a portfolio or examples of your work, please make sure you don’t bring any GCSE coursework which your school requires for assessment purposes.
