Bridgwater is on the main rail line from Taunton and the main campus is just a short walk from the station. There is free parking at the Bridgwater and Cannington campuses (£1 per day at the Taunton campus), and there are also designated zones for parking mopeds and bicycles.
Bus Timetables
Each day over 20 buses come to the Bridgwater campus from towns and villages across Somerset and North Somerset, with connecting buses transporting students to and from the Cannington campus in the morning and afternoon. Please find links to bus timetables to our campuses below. Note that the following timetables were last updated in August 2023.

Discount Train Ticket
A new railcard offering half-price fares for 16 and 17-year-olds, aimed at those who travel to school or college by train, goes on sale on 20 August. The 16-17 Saver card will cost £30 a year and can be used on standard class journeys originating in England and Wales, and is valid for season tickets. Bus Travel
Buses of Somerset – Buses of Somerset offer a number of ticket options including ticket bundles, a weekly ticket and an mticket (which can be purchased through the mobile phone mticket App).

Hatch Green Coaches – A £5-day return ticket will be available from 1 September 2021 on College days only for bus services 10C, 19, 23, 23B, 51, 613 and 624. For all other Hatch Green bus services please contact the operator.

First West of England – Young people (16-21) and students (of any age if in full-time education) can get a discounted rate on all tickets across the West of England (Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare & Wells).
Specific student tickets are available, details of which can be found on the First West of England website or contact the operator. Students must be in full-time education and can show any student photo ID in order to purchase these specific student tickets.
South West Coaches – A £5-day return ticket will be available from 1 September 2020 on College days only for bus services 646, 647,648, and 652. For all other South West Coaches bus services please contact the operator.
Libra Travel – A £5-day return ticket will be available from 1 September 2020 on College days only for bus services 31, 668, 519 and 649. For all other Libra Travel bus services please contact the operator.
If you need help with the cost of travel, the College offers a 16-19 Bursary is assessed on household income of less than £53,000 (take home pay) and is a limited fund, which means early application is advised. If you choose to purchase directly from the bus operators, you need to keep and show your tickets as evidence of purchase to Student Support at points throughout the year.
The 16-19 Bursary can also help with other course-related compulsory costs and meals where the household income is £40,000 (take home pay) or less. The upper-income threshold listed above is solely for help towards bus travel.
Bridgwater & Taunton College Bus Pass
The College operates several services not on County routes and from areas without direct public services to the Bridgwater campus. This pass allows one inward and one outward journey each day to and from the Bridgwater campus (with links to Cannington included) during term time only on the designated services below.
Please note, the bus companies may change in September, however the route will be the same.
The cost of this bus pass for 2023/2024 is £440. This can be paid in full on application or by eight monthly direct debits of £55 from October to May. Payments can be made by cheque or card by calling Student Support on 01278 441233.
You may be able to apply for financial help towards the cost of the ticket through the 16-19 Bursary, as per the income threshold above for public service bus travel. Please contact Student Support for an application form on 01278 441233 or email studentsupport@btc.ac.uk.

Taunton Campus Car Parking Arrangements
The Taunton campus car parks use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to help manage car parking on site. Staff and students are expected to pay for parking unless told otherwise, and must hold a parking permit. Visitors/unenrolled students etc. will need to report to Main Reception as normal where they will be able to register their vehicle as they will not hold a permit. They will still be required to pay the daily charge. To park at the Taunton campus, the fee is £1 per day.
