Adult learner Alex Spencer is studying the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 3 course at BTC. Her first ‘proper’ employment was whilst she was at university, as an Administration Manager at a holiday park in Chichester. It was mainly a financial role, which started Alex’s love of numbers and accounts.

Now further in to her working life, Alex wants to progress further with her career. With ten years of practice experience under her belt, she wants to complete the AAT and plan for the future, with aspirations of becoming a Management Accountant. The first step in this journey is successfully completing the AAT Level 3, then the Level 4, and then progression into management.

She told us:
