Project SEARCH is a business-led, one-year work-preparation programme for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Bridgwater & Taunton College and Discovery Supported Employment are working collaboratively with the host site NHS Musgrove Park Hospital, supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or autism in the workplace to gain employment skills.
The course is one academic year based in the hospital, consisting of three different work placements lasting 10 weeks each supported by job coaches, reinforced by employability skills and the Care Certificate taught in the Base-room.
This Open Evening will allow those interested to learn more about the programme, register their interest, and experience the BTC community first-hand. It will be hosted at The Conference Centre at our Taunton Campus.
Project SEARCH is a joint collaboration between Bridgwater & Taunton College, DFN Project SEARCH, Somerset County Council, Discovery, and NHS Somerset Foundation Trust.
