BTC secures KA1 funding for the Erasmus+ programme - Bridgwater & Taunton College

It is with great pleasure to inform you Bridgwater & Taunton College have been successful in securing funding from the UK National Agency to send students and staff on training placements from 2019 – 2021. Co-funded by the European Union, the Erasmus+ programme aims to increase student and staff movement within the European Community.

This a fantastic opportunity for staff to undertake staff development and students to enhance their employability prospects, whilst learning new skills in one of our partner European countries.

Students can participate in a traineeship abroad for two weeks, with staff having the opportunity for a 3-5 day visit. They will spend time in the workplace and at our partner colleges to gain real-life working experiences and for staff to job shadow and share good practices.

The opportunities presented through our Erasmus+ funding provide our students and staff the chance to experience new cultures and practices within their chosen field. The spirit of collaboration with our partner colleges supports the exciting move towards a more global society in education and business.

Ben Houlihan, Head of Quality & Teaching Development

Due to the Erasmus+ Team being successful with this bid means that we can fully fund students and staff placements by paying for travel, accommodation, and subsistence whilst they are away.  Taking part in such a programme is a once in a lifetime experience which we know will have a great impact on our staff and students.

To find out more about how to get involved please contact the Erasmus+ Team for more information and visit the website.
