Yeovil Town Ladies FC will be holding an open training session on Sunday 26 April for their new talent development programme in partnership with Bridgwater College. The training session will be for those players aged 16-19 looking to study a further/higher education course.
The invitation to attend the open training session comes after the recent announcement of the exciting new partnership, which sees Bridgwater College become the lead education provider for Yeovil Town Ladies FC and will serve to create a fully integrated progression route into the FA Women’s Super League, with access to over 13 hours of training per week, together with an outstanding academic programme.
The open training session on Sunday 26 April is being held at Bridgwater College starting at 9am and finishing at 11am. Players attending the session will also receive complimentary tickets to the Womens Super League match between Yeovil Town Ladies and London Bees, being played on the same day, which kicks off at 2pm at Sherborne Town FC. There will be food provided for the players at 1:30pm at Sherborne Town FC before the Yeovil Town Ladies fixture.
Attending the session will give parents and players the opportunity to find out more about the programme, ask any questions, meet the programme staff, view the facilities and also have a tour of the residential facilities on offer for those living further away who may require them.
The day will run as follows:
- 9am – 9.30am: Welcome and presentation
- 9.30am – 10.45am: Training
- 11am – 12pm: Tour of residential facilities
- 1.30pm – Food
- 2pm – WSL Match (Yeovil Town LFC v London Bees)
To attend the open training session, players must complete and return an Open training session form—that can be requested by emailing email@example.com—no later than Friday 24 April. Players attending must be looking to attend a college from September 2015 and are advised to come dressed in suitable clothing to train in (indoor and outdoor footwear), and to bring drinks and a snack.
