Proposed merger between Bridgwater and Taunton College and Strode College.

Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) and Strode College are proposing to merge, bringing together their combined strengths to form a new College Group.

The proposed new College Group will consist of four Colleges; Bridgwater College, Cannington College, Strode College and Taunton College. Each College in the group will remain committed to delivering inspirational teaching, learning, and skills development, with students benefitting from the advantages of being part of a larger College Group.

The newly formed College Group will deliver an outstanding education and opportunities for all, benefitting the communities served.

The public consultation period has now closed. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the process; the outcome of the consultation will be published at the end of June 2025.
