In common with all Further Education Colleges in England and Wales, The College is accountable to government via Statutory Instrument and Articles of Government and a Financial Memorandum in place between the Skills Funding Agency and the College.
Bridgwater & Taunton College currently has eighteen governors who have a wide range of expertise and experience. Most have served for many years and have accumulated a wealth of experience of the college’s operations and the local community and all serve on a sub-Committee to gain specific knowledge.
Governors’ responsibilities are set out in Article 3 of government which includes references to the academic, financial and staffing functions of the college.
If you are interested in becoming a Governor, please contact the Clerk to the Governors, Mark Nettle on firstname.lastname@example.org
