This course is for Automotive apprentices / mechanics who want or need to develop their mig / mag welding & spot welding skills.
What makes this course special?
The course is tailored to the needs of the automotive industry. Within this industry welding can form part of a mechanics day to day job. This course uses thin sheet materials and welding processes that are commonly used in the automotive industry to achieve quality welds. As well as learning how to weld, this course gives learners the opportunity to develop an undstanding of visual inspection of welds, by carrying out and interpreting Dye penetrant colour contrast NDT.
What is involved?
Please note: this course will run subject to minumum learner numbers being met.
There is no accredited learning with this short course. However, delegates will be expected to complete two practical welding assessments.

This apprenticeship is a great way to challenge yourself, increase your skills and gain qualifications, whilst earning a salary. BTC has the latest equipment and machinery, as well as knowledgeable staff. I've also met a lot of influential people who could help me in the future.
