You need to be employed to start an Apprenticeship. Please visit our vacancy page or if you have an employer, please ensure you add full contact details of your employer within your application. If you are unable to secure employment, you could enrol on a full-time study programme and transfer to an Apprenticeship at a later date. Please apply for a full-time course as your second option.
If you are interested in working as an electrician and look forward to the challenge of work but want to keep learning in a practical way, then this course is for you. A Level 3 Apprenticeship is a way for you to acquire the skills required to become a fully-qualified electrician.
Some of the things you will learn relating to electro technical systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment will include the knowledge and practical application of the following:
You are assessed on your knowledge and skills on an on-going basis by external online tests, written assessments, site observations and other evidence that you meet the required standards throughout your training. There is also a three day external assessment Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2).
The College will provide an Assessor who will visit you in your workplace and support and assess how you are progressing. You will also be provided with a Training Officer to oversee your training and visit you at least once every three months to review your progress and help you with any problems you might have.
On successful completion you could progress to a higher level of QCF Electrical Training, including management.
