The Student Services team can offer advice and guidance on anything that may be affecting you and your studies, no problem is too big or too small! If they don’t know the answer, they will be able to put you in touch with someone who does. Pop in to see them in the common rooms at the Bridgwater and Cannington campuses or The Core in Taunton, alternatively drop them an email at counsellingservice@btc.ac.uk.
The College provides a flexible, confidential and accessible counselling service to help students through challenging situations. Counselling can help with;
If you would like support with one of the above, contact the College’s Counselling team by emailing counselling@btc.ac.uk, or call in to B23 on the Bridgwater campus to request a counselling appointment. Alternatively, you can visit the Wellbeing Team, to discuss a counselling referral. An initial meeting will take place where you can discuss your needs and expectations. If you decide counselling can help you, further sessions will be arranged.
The College also runs Needadoc, a drop-in confidential general health service for smoking, diet, stress, social wellbeing, drug and alcohol support and sexual health. Confidential advice on all health issues is available through the College’s Health Promotions Co-ordinator, who you can call on 01278 441266.
