This course is for those who wish to be employed in the food, drink and hospitality industry, or already in the sector and would like to gain a qualification. There are many job roles that apply to the hospitality industry including barista, bar staff, waiter/waitress, cook, housekeeper, receptionist, concierge, event organiser. This qualification provides specialist training in each area.
The course units may include:
Assessment is continual and occurs both in the workplace and College. You will build up an evidence logbook showing your development generally and within your core specialism. At the end of the course there are four exams; an observation, business project, professional discussion and multiple choice test.
On successful completion of the course, you may move into employment as a Barista Maestro, General Manager or Manager of Food and Beverage, Events, Kitchen, Reception or Housekeeping. If you wish to continue your studies, you could progress to the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision.
