The first three T Levels to be delivered at BTC in September 2020 are:
What are T Levels?
T Levels are courses which will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to 3 A Levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work.
T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days). They will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment, further study or a Higher Apprenticeship.
The Industry Placement (on the job element) will be a critical factor in these new programmes and where employers can get involved. BTC have years of working with employers to set up successful work experience placements for our students and have been involved in the delivery of Industry Placement over the last two years so we have a vast experience of matching students to placement opportunities.
For the launch of the T Levels we are looking for dynamic and pioneering employers to become involved with the delivery of the courses and to support the courses we are piloting; digital, design and education.
We are giving you the opportunity to be amongst the first headline sponsors for each of the courses we run and the commitment will predominately be based on you being able to offer industry placements for BTC students but can extend to other activities such as:
Education to Business Club (E2B Club)
The college are establishing the E2B Club to support employers who become our trusted partners. The club will develop into a network of exclusive employers who will meet on a regular basis to engage and support each other and work with the college to develop and evolve these new programmes.
